Werth Nominated for ESPY Award

Lincoln – Nebraska volleyball player Hannah Werth joins an exclusive group of athletes, as she is a finalist for one of the 2009 ESPY Awards.

Werth is one of six finalists for the Under Armour All-America Moment following her performance at the AVCA High School All-America Match at the Qwest Center Omaha last December. Werth totaled five kills and eight digs in the match en route to being named MVP of the inaugural event. Clips of Werth in action are also available on the site.

Fans can vote for Hannah and for the other ESPNY awards by visiting www.espys.tv or on their mobile phones at www.espn.mobi.  Fans need to log in to vote for the awards. Voting is open until July 11th at 10:59 p.m.

The ESPY Awards will be taped on Wednesday, July 15, from the Nokia Theatre at L.A. LIVE in Los Angeles and televised Sunday, July 19, at 8 p.m. (central) on ESPN/ESPNHD.
