Huskers Eliminated from Big Ten Tournament

Minneapolis The No. 8 seed Nebraska baseball team (34-23) had a 7-3 lead heading into the bottom of the eighth inning on Thursday afternoon at Target Field, but the No. 5 seed Michigan State Spartans (34-22) exploded for six runs in the frame on its way to a 9-7 victory that eliminated the Huskers from the Big Ten Tournament.

Minneapolis The No. 8 seed Nebraska baseball team (34-22) had a 2-0 lead after the top of the sixth, but the No. 1 seed Illinois Fighting Illini (46-6-1) scored the game's final three runs for a 3-2 victory in the opening round of the Big Ten Tournament on Wednesday night at Target Field. With the win, the No. 5 nationally ranked Illini extended their winning streak to 27 games, the longest streak in the country this season.

Eight Huskers Earn All-Big Ten Honors

Minneapolis Eight members of the Nebraska baseball team were honored by the Big Ten Conference on Tuesday morning, including Tanner Lubach, Chance Sinclair and Ryan Boldt, who were each tabbed as second-team All-Big Ten performers by the league's coaches. Josh Roeder earned third-team honors, while Scott Schreiber, Luis Alvarado and Garett King were all named to the All-Big Ten Freshman Team. Senior Blake Headley was Nebraska's representative on the Sportsmanship Team.

Minneapolis - After the Nebraska baseball team (34-21, 9-14 Big Ten) finished the 2015 regular season at Illinois (45-6-1, 21-1 Big Ten) last week, the two teams will meet again in the first round of the Big Ten Tournament. The No. 8 seed Huskers and the No. 1 seed Illini are scheduled to play at 5:05 p.m. on Wednesday at Target Field, with the game carried nationally on the Big Ten Network.

Huskers and Illini Canceled in Fourth Inning

Champaign, Ill. The Nebraska baseball team held a 3-2 lead in the bottom of the fourth inning when rain put the game into a delay at 3:16 p.m. The teams waited for nearly two hours for the weather to clear, but at 5:07 p.m. the game was called. Since the fifth inning had not been completed, it's like the game had never been played. The game will not be finished and the Huskers end the regular season with a 34-21 overall record, including a 9-14 Big Ten record.

Champaign, Ill. Four unearned runs on three errors in the bottom of the fourth came back to haunt the Nebraska baseball team (34-21, 9-14 Big Ten) on Friday night at Illinois Field, as the No. 5 Illinois Fighting Illini (45-6-1, 21-1 Big Ten) ran their nation-leading win streak to 26 games with a 10-9 victory. The Huskers scored the game's final five runs and had the tying run in scoring position with two outs in the top of the ninth, but Tyler Jay closed the door for his 12th save of the season. Saturday's game was scheduled for 6 p.m., but first pitch was delayed until 8:40 p.m. because of rain and lightning.

Huskers Drop Opener to No. 2 Illini

Champaign, Ill. On a rainy night at Illinois Field, the #2 Illinois Fighting Illini (44-6-1, 20-1 Big Ten) ran its nation-leading win streak to 25 games and clinched the 2015 Big Ten regular-season title with a 6-3 victory over the Nebraska baseball team (34-20, 9-13 Big Ten).

Lincoln - With three games left in the regular season, the Nebraska baseball team (34-19, 9-12 Big Ten) will start its final Big Ten series of the year on Thursday in Champaign, Ill., against the No. 5 Illinois Fighting Illini (43-6-1, 19-1 Big Ten). The series runs Thursday-Friday-Saturday, with both Thursday and Friday's games set for 6:05 p.m. Saturday's regular-season finale is scheduled for 2:05 p.m. Both Friday and Saturday's games will be carried live nationwide on the Big Ten Network.

Lincoln The Nebraska baseball team (34-19, 9-12 Big Ten) had the tying run at the plate in the bottom of the ninth inning, but couldn't complete a comeback in a 9-6 loss to the Purdue Boilermakers (17-34, 4-17 Big Ten) in the final home game of the season at Hawks Field. After winning the series opener on Saturday, the Huskers dropped the finale two games of series to Purdue.

Kubat Strikes Out Nine, But Huskers Fall 2-1

Lincoln Following a three-hour and 20-minute rain delay for first pitch on Sunday afternoon, Nebraska (34-18, 9-11 Big Ten) and Purdue (16-34, 3-17 Big Ten) started the second game of their three-game series. After notching nine runs on 13 hits in the series opener, the NU offense went cold on Sunday, as it was limited to one run on four hits in a 2-1 defeat.
