Morgantown, W.V. --- Despite a valiant effort, the No. 8 Nebraska rifle team fell to the second-ranked West Virginia Mountaineers on Sunday by a score of 4,710-4,646, suffering just its second loss of the season.
Morgantown, W.V. --- The No. 8 Nebraska rifle team trounced Navy on Saturday by a score of 4,677-4,629, moving to 8-1 overall and 5-1 in conference.
The No. 8 Nebraska rifle team, coming off two consecutive record-breaking matches, continues its series of away matches this weekend in Morgantown, W. Va. The Huskers will face No. 16 Navy on Jan. 21 and second-ranked West Virginia on Jan. 22. Both matches are set to begin at 7 a.m.
West Point, N.Y. --- For the second consecutive match, the Nebraska rifle team produced a strong air rifle score to earn a come-from-behind victory - this time over Army West Point on Monday. The Huskers out shot the Black Knights by 20 points in air rifle to roll to a 4,665-4,647 win.
West Point, N.Y. --- The No. 8 Nebraska rifle team shot an excellent day in air rifle to come from behind and win a close battle against eleventh-ranked NC State on Sunday by a score of 4,678-4,665.
The No. 8 Nebraska rifle team kicks off 2017 this weekend, when it travels to West Point, N.Y., for a match against Army West Point on Jan. 15 and a match against NC State on Jan. 16. Both matches are set to begin at 8 a.m.
The Nebraska rifle team will send five shooters to the 2016 Winter Airgun Championships in Colorado Springs, Colo., this weekend. Rachel Martin, Samantha Peterson, Rachel Yager, Dacotah Faught and Kayla Gadeken will compete in the competition at the Olympic Training Center on Dec. 2-4.

Lincoln, Neb. --- The No. 7 completed a weekend sweep over No. 18 UTEP after defeating the Miners 4,668 - 4,588 on Sunday in the final match of the fall season.
Lincoln, Neb. --- The No. 7 Nebraska rifle team earned the third-highest air rifle score in school history (2,364) on Saturday en route to a 4,664-4,578 victory over No. 18 UTEP at the NU Rifle Range.
The No. 7 Nebraska rifle team finishes the fall season this weekend, when it welcomes UTEP to the NU Rifle Range for a pair of matches on Saturday and Sunday. Both matches are set to begin at 9 a.m. The NU Rifle Range is located in the basement of the Military and Naval Science Building on 14th and Vine. There will be equipment displays and an opportunity to test your shooting skills on both days. Coffee and hot chocolate will be served on Saturday.
Nebraska Head Coach Ashley MacAllister announced the addition of two future Huskers on Wednesday. Mari Butler (Casselton, N.D.) and Elizabeth Ewert (Burnsville, Minn.) signed with the Nebraska rifle team and will join the Huskers in 2017-18.
