Lincoln – The College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) released its Academic All-District teams on Thursday afternoon and junior outfielder Ryan Boldt was named a first-team All-District 7 pick for the second straight year. The Red Wing, Minn., native is the first Husker baseball player to earn the honor in consecutive seasons since Daniel Bruce did it in 2004 and 2005.
Lincoln - Fresh off a series win at Rutgers, the Nebraska baseball team (28-16, 9-6 Big Ten) will try to win its fifth league series of the year when it visits East Lansing, Mich., for a three-game series against the #24 Michigan State Spartans (28-16, 10-5 Big Ten), who took 2-of-3 from instate rival Michigan last weekend. Piscataway, N.J. – Following a 3-2 heartbreaking walk-off loss on Friday afternoon at Bainton Field, the Nebraska baseball team (28-16, 9-6 Big Ten) responded with a doubleheader sweep of the Rutgers Scarlet Knights (22-22, 6-9 Big Ten) on Saturday. The Huskers completed the sweep with an 8-4 victory, outscoring the Scarlet Knights 16-5 in the double dip.
