Boldt Repeats as Academic All-District Honoree

Lincoln The College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) released its Academic All-District teams on Thursday afternoon and junior outfielder Ryan Boldt was named a first-team All-District 7 pick for the second straight year. The Red Wing, Minn., native is the first Husker baseball player to earn the honor in consecutive seasons since Daniel Bruce did it in 2004 and 2005.

Huskers Visit #24 Spartans for Weekend Series

Lincoln - Fresh off a series win at Rutgers, the Nebraska baseball team (28-16, 9-6 Big Ten) will try to win its fifth league series of the year when it visits East Lansing, Mich., for a three-game series against the #24 Michigan State Spartans (28-16, 10-5 Big Ten), who took 2-of-3 from instate rival Michigan last weekend. The series runs Saturday through Monday, with all three games set to start at 12:05 p.m. (CT). The finale on Monday will be broadcast live on the Big Ten Network.

Piscataway, N.J. Following a 3-2 heartbreaking walk-off loss on Friday afternoon at Bainton Field, the Nebraska baseball team (28-16, 9-6 Big Ten) responded with a doubleheader sweep of the Rutgers Scarlet Knights (22-22, 6-9 Big Ten) on Saturday. The Huskers completed the sweep with an 8-4 victory, outscoring the Scarlet Knights 16-5 in the double dip.

One out away from taking the series opener at Rutgers (22-20, 6-7 Big Ten) on Friday afternoon, the Nebraska baseball team (26-16, 7-6 Big Ten) was unable to complete the victory, as a single by Christian Campbell and a throwing error plated two runs, resulting in a 3-2 walk-off win for the Scarlet Knights.

The Nebraska baseball team (26-15, 7-5 Big Ten) makes is first ever trip to Piscataway, N.J., this weekend for a three-game Big Ten series against the Rutgers Scarlet Knights (21-20, 5-7 Big Ten). The series opens on Friday at 2 p.m. (CT) and will be the first meeting between the two teams as Big Ten opponents. Saturday's game is set for Noon and the finale is scheduled for 11 a.m. on Sunday.

Kansas City The Kansas Jayhawks had the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth with two outs and left them loaded, as freshman Chad Luensmann notched his ninth save of the year to secure a 3-1 victory for the Nebraska baseball team (26-15, 7-5 Big Ten) at Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City.

Play Meyers Homers and Notches Win in 4-2 Victory

Lincoln Sophomore Jake Meyers hit a three-run homer in the sixth inning and earned the win on the mound in Nebraska's (25-15, 7-5 Big Ten) series clinching 4-2 victory over Nicholls State (17-24, 7-11 Southland) on Sunday afternoon at Hawks Field. The last time a Husker homered and earn a pitching win was on Feb. 21, 2009, when Adam Bailey did it against Louisiana-Lafayette.

Colonels Even Series with 7-1 Win

Lincoln After the Nebraska baseball team took the series opener last night at Hawks Field, the Nicholls State Colonels evened the series with a 7-1 victory on Saturday. Cole Stapler went all 9.0 innings for Nicholls State, his first career complete game and the first by an opposing pitcher this season
