The Nebraska softball team begins practice for 2018 season intent on returning to spot among nation's top teams; Miles' starting lineup to remain intact
Former Husker two-time All-America catcher Taylor Edwards earned a spot on the USA Softball World Championship team, announced by USA Softball on Saturday. Edwards becomes the second former Husker to make a Team USA World Championship roster, following in the footsteps of two-time All-American Denise Day, who was on the 1990 World Championship team.
38 Huskers to Earn Degrees
Six talented student-athletes have signed National Letters of Intent to join the Nebraska softball team next fall, Head Coach Rhonda Revelle announced on Wednesday, Nov. 8.
The Nebraska softball team finished its fall exhibition season with a 7-1 record, defeating South Dakota twice, Colorado State twice, UNO, Bellevue and Butler. NU's only loss came in the second of its three games against Colorado State.
Lincoln, Neb. -- The Nebraska softball team trounced the Butler Grizzlies in its fall season finale Thursday night 14-2. Led by Tristen Edwards, the Husker offense was on fire, totaling 13 hits. Edwards went 4-for-4 on the night, scored three runs and had two RBIs. Taylor Otte and Kaylan Jablonski each had two hits, while five additional Huskers had one hit on the night.
Lincoln, Neb, --- The Nebraska softball team dominated the Bellevue Bruins at Bowlin Stadium on Thursday night, 16-1. The Huskers had 15 hits on the night. Tristen Edwards had two, including a grand slam. Taylor Otte, Alyvia Simmons, Madi Unzicker, Bree Boruff and Bri Cassidy also had multiple hits on the night. The Husker pitching staff didn't give up a hit until the fifth inning and only allowed two all game.
Six Huskers were enshrined into the University of Nebraska Athletics Hall of Fame Friday, and the only one who was unable to attend the ceremony was a huge hit who set the tone for all inductees.
The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) announced the 2016-17 NFCA All-America Scholar-Athletes on Tuesday and 11 current and former Huskers were honored for their achievements in the classroom.
The Easton/NFCA Academic Team rankings for the 2016-17 school year were announced and the Nebraska softball team ranked 26th with a team GPA of 3.494.
