BTN Picks Up Two Nebraska Baseball Games

Lincoln – The Big Ten Network has announced that it will air two more Nebraska baseball games this season, as the network will air the final two games of Nebraska's three-game series at Illinois. Both games were wildcard picks and BTN still has one more wildcard selection left on Thursday, May 14.

Lincoln – On a day when both starting pitcher took the mound in the 10th inning, the No. 23 Nebraska baseball team (29-12, 6-5 Big Ten) dropped its first extra-inning game of the year and saw its six-game winning streak against the Ohio State Buckeyes (25-10, 8-3) come to an end. With the game tied 1-1 going into the 10th, the Buckeyes got a two-out RBI single to take the lead and the Huskers were unable to answer in a 2-1 loss.

Lincoln – The No. 23 Nebraska baseball team picked up its 29th win of the season on Friday afternoon with a 5-2 victory in its series opener with the Ohio State Buckeyes (24-10, 7-3 Big Ten). The Huskers, who are now 29-11 on the year and 6-4 in the Big Ten, have won six straight games over the Buckeyes dating back to the 2013 Big Ten Tournament.

Lincoln - For the third straight season, the No. 23 Nebraska baseball team (28-11, 5-4 Big Ten) and the Ohio State Buckeyes (24-9, 7-2 Big Ten) are set to meet at Hawks Field for a three-game Big Ten series. The Huskers and Buckeyes have met 15 times dating back to 1991, while meeting 13 times since the Huskers joined the Big Ten, with NU posting a 9-4 record since 2012.

The Huskers took the final two games of the series by a combined score of 19-7 after being shutout, 3-0, in the series opener.
