Head Coach

The all-time winningest track and field coach in the history of the Big 12 and the former Big Eight Conference, Nebraska Head Coach Gary Pepin will enter his 37th season as the head coach of the Nebraska men's and women's track and field teams in 2017, making him the longest tenured active coach in Cornhusker athletics and among Big Ten track and field programs. Matt Martin

Sprints/Hurdles/Relays Coach

Matt Martin is entering his 21st season as the Huskers' recruiting coordinator in 2017, and is also in his 13th season assisting with the Husker women's sprinters, hurdlers and relay teams. FULL BIO

Billy Maxwell

Sprints/Hurdles/Relays Coach

A nationally renowned sprints/hurdles/relays coach, Billy Maxwell enters his 22nd season at Nebraska in 2017. Maxwell has been a critical element to the success of the Husker track and field program over the last two decades and was rewarded in 2015 with a selection to the USTFCCCA Hall of Fame. FULL BIO

David Harris

Distance Coach

David Harris is entering his sixth season as the Huskers' distance and middle distance coach in 2017. He is also Nebraska's cross country head coach. FULL BIO

Scott Cappos

Throws Coach

Scott Cappos enters his third year as Nebraska's throws coach in 2017. Cappos has coached more than 100 NCAA qualifiers and 50 conference champions. FULL BIO

T.J. Pierce

Pole Vault/Combined Events

T.J. Pierce enters his fourth year as a pole vault/combined events coach for the Huskers after being promoted to an assistant position in 2013-14. Prior to that he was the program’s director of operations for eight years from 2005-13 and previously served as an assistant recruiting coordinator from 1998-2000. FULL BIO

Tom Fish

Volunteer Coach (Sprints/Hurdles)

Tom Fish joined the Huskers as a volunteer assistant coach in 2015-16 and works with the sprinters and hurdlers. FULL BIO

Tim Thompson

Volunteer Coach (Sprints/Hurdles)

Timothy Thompson is a native of Dallas, Texas who joined the Huskers as a volunteer assistant coach in 2015-16. Thompson works with the women's Husker hurdle, sprint, and relays group under Nebraska Assistant Coach Matt Martin. FULL BIO

Casey Kear

Volunteer Coach (Distance)

Casey Kear joined the Huskers as a volunteer assistant coach in 2014-15. Kear works with the Husker distance group under Nebraska Assistant Coach Dave Harris. Kear is a USA Track and Field Certified Level 2 Coach. From 2006-10, Kear competed in cross country and track at Point Loma Nazarene University, qualifying for NAIA nationals three times. FULL BIO

Ethan Sandusky

Volunteer Coach (Pole Vault)

Ethan Sandusky joined the Nebraska track and field staff in 2016-17 as a volunteer coach. Sandusky assists with the pole vault. FULL BIO

Casie Witte

Volunteer Coach (Combined Events)

Casie Witte joined the Huskers as a volunteer coach in 2008. Witte works with the Husker combined events and pole vault groups under Nebraska Assistant Coach T.J. Pierce. FULL BIO

Bobby Carter

Volunteer Coach (Jumps)

Bobby Carter joined the Nebraska track and field staff as a volunteer assistant coach in 2016-17. Carter assists with the horizontal jumps. FULL BIO

Dusty Jonas

Volunteer Coach (Jumps)

Former Husker high jump Olympian Dusty Jonas enters his eighth year as a volunteer coach at Nebraska in 2016-17. Jonas assists head coach Gary Pepin with the Husker jumpers with particular focus on the high jump. FULL BIO

Da'Nelle Earl

Director of Operations

Da'Nelle Earl joined the Nebraska athletic department in August of 2005 and currently serves as the track and field director of operations. FULL BIO

Matt Wackerly

On Campus Recruiting Coordinator

Matt Wackerly joined the Nebraska track and field staff as the on campus recruiting coordinator in July 2016. He came to Nebraska from Ohio Wesleyan University, where he was the head coach of the men's and women's cross country teams. FULL BIO

Devandrew Johnson

Recruiting Assistant

Following his Nebraska track and field career, Devandrew Johnson joined the Husker coaching staff as a recruiting assistant in June of 2015. FULL BIO
