Kelly Mosier began working as the director of digital communications for the Nebraska Athletic Department in June of 2011. Previously he served as the production coordinator at HuskerVision from February 2007 to 2011.
Mosier has studied new media communications models extensively, earning a master's degree in journalism in 2012. His thesis, College Football Twitter Communities, examined social media sports communities, their communication strategies and rhythms, and influencers in their community.
He earned his bachelor's degree in journalism from Nebraska in 2006. As an undergraduate, his student documentary "In the Wake of Catastrophe" was selected as a regional finalist for the 2007 Student Academy Awards.
Before being hired on a full-time basis by the athletic department, Mosier served as a graduate student assistant in the University of Nebraska College of Journalism and Mass Communications as well as an intern at Nebraska Educational Television, where he pursued an interest in long-form documentary film making.
Mosier began his career in video production as a student production assistant in HuskerVision in 2003, where he worked for three years prior to graduation.
A native of Davenport, Neb., Kelly and his wife, Nancy, have a son, Owen, and a daughter, Amelie.
