Locker Room and Lounge

Prior to the start of the 2013 season, the Nebraska track and field team received a $180,000 renovation to its 5,400 square-foot locker room. The locker rooms were originally constructed in 1981 and had previously not received any updates before this project. Prior to the renovation, the floor was originally six separate rooms that were used in a variety of ways including hospitality, golf locker rooms and visiting team locker rooms. The original space dedicated to each men's and women's team was about 1,200 square feet. After the renovation, the men's and women's teams each have their own 2,700 square foot locker room and lounge.

The renovation included:

- New flooring throughout
- All walls painted
- Locker benches
- New lockers with individual graphics
- New kitchenette with granite counter top
- New bathroom vanities with granite counter tops
- Double door fridges with purified water spouts
- Each lounge has two 60" plasma TV's
- The locker rooms feature a Sonos sound system
- Feature wall in the locker room with recessed ceiling lighting
- Booth study area
- Booth lounge area with pendant lights
- New lounge furniture
- Updated women's showers
