Nebraska Men's Gymnastics Facilities

Bob Devaney Sports Center

The newly renovated 7,907-seat Bob Devaney Sports Center is one of the top venues for gymnastics in the country.

Following a $20 million renovation, the Devaney Center features many amenities that make it the premier gymnastics venue in the nation. The renovated building includes five suites and new ceiling trusses that mimic the NU Coliseum. The Devaney Center also now includes 10MM video boards. Fan amenities include increased and renovated restrooms and updated concession stands.

The Devaney Center has been the home of Nebraska gymnastics for more than 30 years. Named after Bob Devaney, Nebraska's highly successful football coach and athletic director (1962-93), the building was opened in the fall of 1976 and is located on the Nebraska State Fairgrounds.

The building also houses the volleyball, wrestling, track and field and swimming teams. Since its opening, the Devaney Center has hosted numerous national, regional and conference championship events, including 10 NCAA Men's Gymnastics Championships. Most recently, the Devaney Center played host to the 2009 NCAA Women's Gymnastics Championships, the 2014 Men's Big Ten Gymnastics Championships, the 2015 Women's Big Ten Gymnastics Championships and a 2017 Women's NCAA Regional.

The 26,000 square-foot training space and 46,000 square-foot state-of-the art facility will serve as a way to celebrate the legacy and accomplishments of alumni, but will also be a game changer for recruitment, performance and competition.

The Training Complex will include two practice gyms, locker rooms, a lobby, team rooms, athletic therapy rooms and coaches’ offices - truly beginning a "new era" for Husker gymnastics.

The Training Complex is scheduled to be completed in January 2020, in time for the 2020 gymnastics season.
