Nebraska Sits at 14th at Badger Invitational
Madison, Wis. - The Nebraska men’s golf team is currently in 14th place at the Badger Invitational after the first two rounds. The Huskers shot 302 in the first round on Sunday at University Ridge Golf Course and improved on their score in the second round with a mark of 299. Action at the par-72, 7,259-yard course will continue tomorrow with the final round.
Texas A&M still leads the tournament with a team score of 560, followed by Marquette (566) in 2nd, Kansas (568) in 3rd, Notre Dame (572) in 4th, and Nevada and Iowa State (574) tied for 5th.
Jackson Wendling continues to lead the Huskers heading into the final round of the Badger Invitational. Wendling has gained some ground and is now tied for 34th with a total score of 147.
Jace Guthmiller is tied for 49th with a score of 150. Daniel Pearson has shot for a combined score of 152 and now sits in 64th place. Rounding out the top five for the Huskers, Patrick Clare (158) is tied for 87th and Cameron Jones (159) is now tied for 92nd.
Nebraska will begin the third and final round on Tuesday with a shotgun start at 9:30 a.m. CT.
