Hall of Fame Coach and Athletic Director Bob Devaney led the Huskers to their first two national titles in football.

Devaney Society Endowed Scholarship Fund
As a tribute to the accomplishments of legendary coach and athletic director Bob Devaney, the Nebraska Athletic Department created the Devaney Society Endowed Scholarship Fund. This endowment program establishes a foundation of financial support to ensure the national prominence of the Nebraska athletic program, while supporting Husker student-athletes for years to come.

Student-athletes who demonstrate strong academic and athletic performance, possess remarkable skills or add unique dimensions to their athletic teams are ideal candidates to receive Devaney Society Scholarships.

Endowed scholarships may be named for any individual or family and may be earmarked for a particular sport, or given to the athletic general scholarship fund. This endowment is a lasting gift that ensures the future of the sport at the University of Nebraska. Devaney Society Endowed Scholarships begin at $100,000 and may be permanently established at the $250,000 level.

Benefits for Contributing to the Devaney Society

  • Honorarium highlighting interest in sport or accomplishments
  • Plaques for both the lead gift contributor and annual recipients
  • Membership in the President's Club of the University of Nebraska
  • Named recipient of the scholarship annually based on criteria established by the lead gift contributor
  • Create relationships through an annual event with a student-athlete who best resembles the attributes defined in the pledge agreement
  • HuskerVision tribute for fully endowed scholarships ($250,000 and $350,000)
  • Football Gameday Program recognition
  • 100 percent tax deductible unless gift is tied to Priority Points (then gift is 80 percent tax deductible)

*Benefits vary based upon the endowed amount

Non-Restricted Booster Clubs
Contributions to these clubs may be used to obtain and determine the location of football, men's basketball, baseball and volleyball tickets. Gifts given to these clubs will be non-restricted in use and allow the Nebraska Athletic Department the ability to use as needed in support of its student-athletes and programs.

Platinum Club
Husker supporters donating $10,000 or above become members of the Platinum Club. Donations to the Platinum Club help the Nebraska Athletic Department in many ways, such as facility improvements and scholarships. The University of Nebraska also recognizes Platinum Club contributors as President's Club Members. By donating at the Platinum Level, you will receive invitations to exclusive Athletic Department events, and you are eligible for premium seating (based on availability) at all of Nebraska's athletic events.

Director's Club
With a contribution of $5,000 or greater, you become a member of the Director's Club. Contributions to the Director's Club improve the overall experience that Nebraska student-athletes have by providing state-of-the-art equipment, facilities and operations. As a Director's Club member, you will be eligible to purchase season tickets in the finest locations (based on availability) at Nebraska's athletic events. Director's Club members also receive invitations to special events where they may have unique opportunities to meet players, coaches and staff, while learning more about the athletic program.

Husker Award Club
The Husker Award Club is a multi-faceted fund. It was established to provide funds for scholarships, operations, capital improvements and other special projects. The Husker Award Club accepts donations up to $4,999.

Touchdown Club
The Touchdown Club is the oldest and largest non-restricted contributor organization at the University of Nebraska. Touchdown Club donations help fund a variety of programs within the Athletic Department. Contributions to the Touchdown Club start at a minimum of $300.

Husker Beef Club
The Husker Beef Club was originally established as a way for the beef industry to contribute cattle for use in the Hewit Center Performance Buffet. Today this has evolved to include more than 1,000 Beef Club members supporting the Nebraska Athletic Department with financial gifts. The minimum level to contribute to the Husker Beef Club is $300.

Big Red Cattle Club
The Big Red Cattle Club was created initially for those individuals in the cattle industry. Donations to the Big Red Cattle Club are no longer restricted to ranchers and help support all of Nebraska's athletic programs. The contribution minimum for the Big Red Cattle Club is $500.
