James White earned second-team All-America honors during the 2013 indoor season, finishig with a leap of 7-0 1/2 (2.15) in the high jump at the 2013 NCAA Indoor Championships... finished second in the high jump at the 2013 BIg Ten Indoor Championships, posting a leap of 7-3 3/4 (2.23)... kicked-off the 2013 season with a personal-best jump of 7-5 1/4 (2.27) at the Holiday Inn Invitational to rank fifth all-time at Nebraska... was named the Big Ten Co-Field Athlete of the Week on Jan. 14.

White joins the Nebraska track and field team as one of the best recruits in the country from Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge, Iowa and previously Grandview High School in Grandview, Mo... An indoor All-American, White has produced an indoor personal best of 7-5 and an outdoor personal best of 7-5 3/4 in the high jump... Was named the 2012 NJCAA High Jump National Champion after posting a mark of 7-5... Helped the Iowa Central Community College Tritons to the 2012 NJCAA Indoor National Title... Was named the 2012 NJCAA Indoor Track and Field National Championships Male Field Athlete of the Meet... Set a track and region record at the NJCAA Region XI Championships, earning the high jump title and with a leap of 7-1 3/4... Won the high jump title at the 2012 Husker Invitational on Feb. 4 with a leap of 7-4 1/4, setting an Iowa Central Community College school record... Recorded a high jump of 7-3 at the 2012 Tyson Invitational on Feb. 11 to finish fourth... Finished first in the high jump at the 2012 Iowa State Open, recording a leap of 7-3... Notched the high jump title at the 2012 Arkansas Spring Invitational on March 31 with a jump of 7-5... Is a two-time Missouri Class 4 High Jump State Champion, earning the title in 2009 and 2010... Broke a 25-year national high school record with his personal-best jump of 7-5 3/4 in the high jump in 2009.
