Sanchez earned playing time in six games as a sophomore. The Huskers were 5-1-0 in those contests with wins over Lamar, North Dakota, Akron, South Dakota and Green Bay. Her final appearance was in Nebraska's 3-0 season-ending loss to Oklahoma State at the Big 12 Tournament.

2008 (Freshman)
Sanchez made five appearances for Nebraska during 2008. The Huskers were 4-1 in games she played, as she helped NU post wins over UAB, Oakland, North Dakota State and Texas Tech. A solid defender, Sanchez assisted in four of NU's five shutouts during the regular season.

2007 (Redshirt)
After welcoming 14 first-year players to the squad in 2007, Sanchez and four other freshmen redshirted during their first seasons in the Nebraska program.

High School
Sanchez joined the Huskers out of Lutheran High School, where she was a four-year starting forward. Sanchez, who owns the Lincoln Lutheran school record for goals in a game (6), was named to the 2007 Lincoln Journal Star first-team all-state and first-team Super-State teams. She was also selected as the 2007 Lincoln Star City Sports Youth Athlete of the Year.

In the classroom at Lincoln Lutheran, Sanchez was a four-time member of the NSCAA Academic Team and a 2006 Honor Roll selection.
