1996 Season
Kristina Ritterbush suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury in a spring game against Kentucky which forced her to sit out the 1996 fall season.

1995 Season
After two solid seasons with the Huskers, Ritterbush earned Nebraska's Most Improved Player Award. She played in all 18 games and started 13 contests in 1995. She scored two goals with two assists for six points. Ritterbush gives the Huskers strength, speed, a powerful shot and excellent long-passing skills. She is a dominant player in the air and a solid one-on-one defender.

1994 Season
Ritterbush started all 18 games for the Huskers and banged home three goals on her way to seven total ponits. She was credited with the game-winning assist to Tara Herbrik versus Texas and scored goals against Park College, Teikyo Westmar and Colorado College. Ritterbush's prowess in the air earned her NU's Aerial Power Award.

High School
Ritterbush played for Cissy Shepherd and aided Sandia High School to the New Mexico class 4A (largest class) runner-up spot in 1991. Ritterbush earned all-state, all-district and all-city honors her junior and senior years and was an honorable-mention all-state selection as a freshman. She was active in 4-H, a three-year member of the National Honor Society and graduated with a 4.1 GPA on a 4.0 scale.

Other Information
Ritterbush's club team, Rio Grande 76, won seven of eight state titles from 1987 to 1994. She also played in seven Far West Regional tournaments. In addition, Ritterbush played three years for the New Mexico Olympic Development Under-16 and Under-14 teams. Her father graduated from the Unversity of Nebraska, and her mother graduated from Nebraska Wesleyan.

Personal Information
The daughter of Eldon and Kathryn Ritterbush, Kristina has three brothers, Michael, 34, Craig, 32, and Todd, 30. She was an electrical engineering major. She was born June 2, 1976.
