Both performances came at the 2011 Big 12 Championships. 2009-10 (Junior)
Grushecky continued to be a solid contributor for the Huskers after a successful 2009-10 season. Grushecky follwed up her sophomore season by matching it with 14 top-five finishes, including two victories in the 200-yard freestyle and the 100-yard butterfly.

2008-09 (Sophomore)
Grushecky played a major role in the success of Nebraska's butterfly corps in 2008-09, as she had the team's second-fastest 100- and 200-yard butterfly times. Nine of her 14 top-five finishes during the season came in either the 100 or 200 fly, and she finished with the team's second-fastest time in both events. Grushecky set a school record in the 100 fly at the 2009 Big 12 Championships with a time of 54.32, only to see it bettered by teammate Mariah Hutchinson later that day. Grushecky finished eighth in the event and ninth in the 200 fly at the Big 12 meet, earning her second and third top-10 finishes at the conference meet.

2007-08 (Freshman)
Grushecky stepped in and contributed immediately as a freshman for Nebraska in 2007-08, starting the year with three first-place finishes in NU's first two dual meets against Illinois and South Dakota State. Grushecky, along with Mariah Hutchinson, was the team's anchor in the butterfly, finishing with the team's second-fastest time in both the 100- and 200-yard butterfly. Grushecky had three top-15 finishes at the Big 12 Championships, including a ninth-place finish in the 200 butterfly.

Grushecky won two state titles as a sophomore when she was the 2005 Pennsylvania Class AA state champion in the 100-yard butterfly and 200-yard freestyle. Her winning 100 fly time of 55.45 broke the state record and led her to high school All-America status. The following year as a junior, Grushecky finished second in the 100 fly. During her first season of independent swimming as a freshman, Grushecky won the gold at the Western Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic League meet (WPIAL) in the 200-yard freestyle and finished runner-up in the 100 butterfly.
