Senior (2010-11)
In his senior year, Taylor Boney came on strong for the Huskers in doubles play toward the end of the season. Boney finished the year with a 5-2 doubles record. He paired with Robert Schulze to go 2-0 with both matches coming in Big 12 play and the No. 3 spot in the Husker lineup. Boney went 1-0 in singles play while playing at the No. 5 spot.

Boney was also a solid performer in the classroom for the Huskers, earning first-team academic All-Big 12 honors as a senior. He also claimed spots on the Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll in both the fall and spring semesters, including a perfect 4.0 GPA in the fall. 

He was also a leader for the Huskers in the community, earning a prestigious Nebraska Student-Athlete HERO Leadership Award for his overall commitment to NU's Life Skills program.

Junior (2009-10)
Playing at the No. 6 spot in the Husker rotation, Boney had a singles record of 1-1. Boney added a doubles record of 0-4 playing from the No. 3 spot, where he partnered with sophomore Andre Stenger for three of the four matches.

A standout in the classroom, Boney earned a spot on the Big 12 Commissioner's Spring Honor Roll with a perfect 4.0 grade-point average.

Sophomore (2008-09)
Although he only participated in two of the Huskers' matches on the season, Boney made the most of his opportunities by going 2-0. One of the most improved players from a year ago according to head coach Kerry McDermott, Boney won both singles matches he played defeating Mitch Osborne (Bradley) 7-5, 6-2, and Bryan Lube (Creighton) 6-3, 7-5.

Academically, Boney captured spots on the Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll in both the fall and spring semesters.

Freshman (2007-08)
One of three freshmen to see action in the spring, Boney competed in three matches, going 2-1 at the No. 6 position. In doubles play, Boney compiled a record of 3-1 with three partners.

Boney also got off to an impressive start in the classroom, earning selections to the Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll in both the fall and spring semesters.

High School
Boney attended Lincoln Southwest High School, where he won the NSAA State No. 1 singles title in 2006. He was named honorary captain of the Lincoln Journal Star Super-State team, and was also first-team Class A all-state. Boney was a member of the National Honor Society, earned honor roll selection all eight semesters of his high school career and graduated in the top five percent of his class.

Personal
Taylor was born on Sept. 2, 1988 in Lincoln, Neb., and is the son of Stephen and Diane Boney. Taylor has one brother, Nicholas. Taylor is speech-language pathology and audiology major at Nebraska and earned first-team academic All-Big 12 honors in 2011. He was also a seven-time member of the Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll.
