No. 25 Nebraska Faces Revised Weekend Schedule
The
25th-ranked Nebraska softball team will face a revised schedule this
weekend, as The Preview event at ASA Hall of Fame Stadium has been
canceled due to unplayable field conditions following a pair of recent
storms.
The
Huskers' new weekend schedule will begin at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, when
Nebraska will take on top-ranked and undefeated Oklahoma in a
doubleheader
at the OU Softball Complex in Norman. NU will then travel to Stillwater
on Sunday to play a doubleheader against Oklahoma State, beginning at Noon.
Although
the dates, times and locations have changed, Nebraska will still play
two games each against Oklahoma and Oklahoma State, as previously
scheduled. The Huskers have already faced the Sooners once this season,
losing a 2-0 decision to OU last Friday in the Sooners' closest game
this season. Oklahoma was one of four ranked teams Nebraska faced last
weekend in Cathedral City, Calif., and the Huskers'
2-3 record at the event - including a 2-0 upset of then-No. 23 Florida
State - helped Nebraska move into the NFCA coaches' poll for the first
time this season on Tuesday.
