Lincoln - The Nebraska wrestling team announced two Big Ten dual time changes and one competition dropped from the schedule for the 2013-14 season on Monday.
The Jan. 18 dual against Iowa will start at 4:30 p.m. CT at the Devaney Center. The match, which was originally scheduled for 7 p.m., was moved at the request of Big Ten Network. The Huskers met Iowa last season in Iowa City, Iowa, when the Hawkeyes posted a 31-7 victory.
In addition, the Jan. 26 dual at Purdue has been moved to noon CT from its previously announced time of 1 p.m. The match against the Boilermakers takes place in West Lafayette, Ind. The schools previously met on Jan. 22, 2012 in Lincoln, Neb., when NU captured a 24-9 victory.
Nebraska removed the NWCA National Duals, Feb. 16-17, from its schedule due to traveling conflicts that would arise with the Feb. 21 dual at Wisconsin. Last season the Huskers competed at the National Duals in Ithaca, N.Y., defeating Virginia, 28-8, before falling to Cornell, 17-19.
The Huskers start their season on Nov. 3 at the Warren Williamson/Daktronics Open in Brookings, S.D. On Nov. 8, the annual Wrestle-Offs will take place at the Devaney Center at 7 p.m. The Huskers’ first dual at the Devaney Center is Nov. 17 at 1 p.m. against Northwestern.
