Normal, Ill. - The Nebraska men's golf team is tied for 11th
at the D.A. Weibring Intercollegiate after shooting 621 over two rounds on
Saturday. Sophomore Ross Dickson led the way for NU with his 148 total.
The Huskers opened with 318 before shooting 303 in the
afternoon. NU is 43 shots behind team leader Illinois. Central Arkansas' Pep
Angles is leading individually after firing a pair of 70s on Saturday at the
Weibring Golf Club.
Dickson is tied for seventh after posting 78 and 70 in the
first two rounds. The London, England native is eight strokes behind Angles. Dickson
is seeking his second consecutive top-10 finish after a tie-for-ninth at the
Fairway Club Invitational two weeks ago.
Jordan Reinertson is tied for 46th at 156 strokes
through 36 holes. The senior opened with an 82 but responded with a 74 in the
second round. Reinertson is coming off a 17th place finish at
Kolton Lapa carded 76 and 82 in the first and second rounds.
He is tied for 53rd at 158. Two weeks ago, Lapa tied for 23rd
for the Huskers.
Kevin Gillick is tied for 59th at 159 strokes. He
shot an 82 in the first round before a 77 in the second round. The Lincoln,
Neb., native is coming off a tie-for-first at the Fairway Club Invitational.
Aaron Wong posted 172 on Saturday for the Huskers. The
freshman opened with an 88 before shooting 84 in the second round. Wong is tied
