Welcome to the Jr. Red Zone
Husker Madness Set for Oct. 14
The Nebraska men's and women's basketball teams plan to tip off the 2005-06 season with an exciting and fun event for the whole family with "Husker Madness" at the Bob Devaney Sports Center on Friday, Oct. 14 at 7 p.m. Admission is free and Husker fans can enjoy $1 Pepsi products and $1 hot dogs.
Jr. Red Zone members and family are encouraged to sit in the reserved seating area in the Red Zone student section on the court. These two sections (A2 and A4) are located behind the baskets on either side of the floor. Along with the introduction of all of Nebraska's men's and women's players for the 2005-06 season, the festivities will include a Three-Point Contest (women) and Dunk Competition (men), along with scrimmage by both the men's and women's basketball teams.
All new and returning Jr. Red Zone members should be sure to stop by the Jr. Red Zone booth to receive the 2005-06 Jr. Red Zone membership packet. The membership packet includes the new Jr. Red Zone T-shirt, official membership card, tickets to the upcoming winter break games and much more.
Husker Madness will be the first opportunity to see the new Jr. Red Zone T-shirt. The booth will be located in the South Concourse area of the Devaney Center and open one hour prior to the start of Husker Madness. All members who have signed up before Husker Madness will be able to pick up their membership packet for the first time at the booth.
The men's team kicks off the season with the first exhibition game at the Devaney Center on Monday, Nov. 7 at 7 p.m. vs. Nebraska-Omaha. The Huskers will host 19 regular-season home games for the 2005-06 season starting with the John Thompson Classic Nov. 18-20.
As always, be sure to wear your Jr. Red Zone T-Shirt to each home game and be a part of the official kid's club of the men's basketball team.
