In Week 11 of the NFL season, several former Nebraska
football players played major roles for their teams.
Alfonzo Dennard of the New England Patriots had one of his
biggest days as a rookie in the NFL. Dennard recorded four total tackles along
with one interception that he returned 87 yards for a touchdown in a 59-24 win over
the Indianapolis Colt.
Tampa Bay linebacker Lavonte David recorded nine total
tackles in a 27-21 win over the Carolina Panthers.
Detroit’s Ndamukong Suh recorded five total tackles, while
teammate Kyle Vanden Bosch produced three total tackles in a 24-20 loss to
Green Bay.
Sam Koch of the Baltimore Ravens had success on the field,
as punted eight times for 340 yards in a 13-10 win over Pittsburgh on Sunday
night. Koch averaged of 46.5 yards per punt and pinned the Steelers inside
their 20-yard line four times.
