Saturday Softball Game Canceled
Lincoln – Saturday’s scheduled softball game between No. 21 Nebraska and New Mexico State has been canceled due to cold weather. The outdoor “real” temperature did not reach the minimum temperature to allow the game to be played, per Big Ten Conference policy. The game will not be rescheduled, as the Huskers are next in action on Tuesday, when they host UNO for a 5 p.m. contest at Bowlin Stadium.
Fans who had a ticket for Saturday’s game can use that
ticket for general admission seating at any future regular-season softball
game, including doubleheaders. General admission seating does include chairback
seating on a first-come, first-served basis in section 102. The Huskers pushed
their winning streak to seven straight by sweeping a doubleheader from New
Mexico State on Saturday. Nebraska finished with a 3-0 record against the
Aggies this season, while the Huskers’ overall record stands at 18-5.
