Nebraska’s Athletic Department and Alumni Association Plan Travel Packages

By NU Athletic Communications

The Nebraska Athletic Department, in partnership with the Nebraska Alumni Association, is making plans to accommodate post-season bowl game demands for Big Red fans bracing for another possible Husker appearance in the Big 12 Championship game.

After Nebraska moved one step closer to winning the Big 12 North Saturday with a 31-17 win over Missouri, the Athletic Department and the Alumni Association announced plans for fans to reserve spots on two trips: 1) a repeat appearance in the Dr. Pepper Big 12 Conference Championship Game on Saturday, Dec. 4, at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas, and 2) first-class accommodations to the Huskers' bowl destination in December or January.

"It's always difficult to communicate in advance with fans when so much more football is left to be played," Nebraska Associate Athletic Director Paul Meyers said. "But we feel it's important to show our fans the customer focus they expect and to get ahead of the curve in terms of planning. We always view being proactive as critical to accommodate our fans as they follow our team on the road."

Demand for both a conference championship game and a bowl trip is expected to be extremely high.

Reservations are now available online at, or by phone (1-800-378-5318). If Nebraska does not qualify for the title game, the Alumni Association will discard the reservation.

Though bowl destinations won't be known until the regular season is finished, Nebraska's Athletic Department and Alumni Association are working on ticket and travel packages to every potential city.

To be among the first to know about potential bowl trip details and availability, fans are encouraged to send their names and email addresses to or to visit
