Huskers Ranked 16th in Preseason Coaches Poll

Lincoln - Nebraska is one of four Big Ten teams in the top 25 of the USA Today Coaches Poll released Thursday. The Huskers, coming off a 9-4 campaign, were 16th with a total of 501 points.

Other Big Ten teams ranked in the preseason poll including Michigan (eighth), Wisconsin (12th) and Michigan State (13th). Both Michigan and Wisconsin travel to Lincoln this season. In addition, the Huskers' season-opening opponent, Southern Miss, is receiving votes after coming off a 12-2 campaign in 2011.

Nebraska will hold its annual Fan Day tomorrow at Memorial Stadium beginning at 2 p.m. with the first practice of the fall set for Saturday morning.
