Tulsa, Okla. - The Nebraska men's tennis team put together a strong performance on Saturday at the ITA All-American Championships invite. Three of the four Huskers that were selected for the tournament emerged victorious in their first round matches.

NU's Marc Herrmann ousted Xavier's Zach Mueck 6-2, 7-6 (2) while fellow Husker Dusty Boyer toppled the No. 17 seed, Marquette's Dan Mamalat 6-4, 7-6 (4). Nebraska's Tom Blackwell scorched Clemson's Christian Harris 7-6 (5), 6-2 as East Tennessee State's David Biosca outpaced the scarlet and cream's Beau Treyz 6-4, 6-4.

Herrmann, Blackwell and Boyer all advance to the second round of prequalifying matches on Sunday but Treyz's action comes to a close. Herrmann is set to face Illinois State's Rolando Torrellas. Boyer will go head-to-head against Michigan State's John Patrick Mullane as Blackwell challenges Virginia's Jordan Daigle. Treyz will not play in the prequalifying bonus round.

To advance to the qualifying draw, the Huskers must win their second round matches as well as a third and fourth round match to proceed from the prequalifying bracket.

Sunday's results will be posted here on Huskers.com as play comes to a close and the scores are made available. Go Big Red!
