Lincoln -- Dylan Talley became the second 2013 Husker senior to sign a professional contract, as he recently agreed to terms with Sports Club Rasta Vechta, a team in the Pro A league in Germany.
Talley earned honorable-mention All-Big Ten honors, as the guard paced Nebraska in scoring (13.7 ppg) and assists (2.5 apg) during the 2012-13 season. The 6-foot-5 guard ranked 10th in the Big Ten in scoring while also grabbing 4.9 rebounds per game.
As a senior, he paced the Huskers in scoring 14 times and reached double figures in 25 of 33 contests, including seven games with at least 20 points. During Big Ten play, he was seventh in the conference in scoring (14.7 ppg) while also finishing among the Big Ten leaders in free throw percentage (.800, seventh), minutes played (35.6, seventh) and 3-pointers per game (1.7, 15th).
Talley was one of the Huskers’ 2012-13 co-captains and scored 982 points in three years at the Division I level, counting his freshman season at Binghamton University, when he was the American East Conference Rookie of the Year. SC Rasta Vechta is based in Vechta and begins its season in October.
He joins fellow 2012-13 co-captain Brandon Ubel as professional Huskers, as Ubel signed a contract with Excelsior Bruxelles in Belgium in May.
