The Nebraska bowling team will continue its 2012-13 season this
weekend at the Prairie View A&M Invite held in Arlington, Texas. Competition begins Friday and will end Sunday
morning at the newly renovated International Training and Research Center. This will be the first of two tournaments in back-to-back weekends at
the facility for NU.
With two tournaments so
close together, Head Coach Bill Straub believes the team has practiced
exceptionally well during some off time preparing for two highly competitive
tournaments.
“I think the team has
practiced great in the last three weeks,” Straub said, “If our team keeps up
its intensity they have shown over the past couple of weeks I believe the
individual scores will reflect the hard work the team has put in.”
The Huskers will face some
stiff competition while in Arlington
this weekend, as they face a stout 12-team field. Some teams to note that will be competing are traditional
powers Central Missouri, Vanderbilt and Valparaiso.
