Huskers Open Home Schedule with Three Games
After two straight weekends on the road, the No. 38 Nebraska Cornhuskers (1-2) are set to open up their home portion of the schedule with three games this weekend at the Nebraska Tennis Center. The Huskers' first match of the weekend will be against the Denver Pioneers (1-4) on Friday, Feb. 10. The match against the Pioneers will begin at 6 p.m.
The Huskers will continue their busy weekend full of action on Sunday, Feb. 12 with a double header. The first of Nebraska's two matches will be against in-state rival Creighton (1-0). The match against the Bluejays will being at 10 a.m. The second match on Sunday will see the Huskers facing off against the No. 74 East Tennessee State Buccaneers (0-4) at 6 p.m.
History with the Pioneers
This will be the fifth time in as many years that the Huskers will compete against Denver University. In those four previous meetings, the Huskers are 2-2. In 2011, NU defeated DU, 5-2 in Denver, Colo.
History with the Bluejays
The Huskers are 4-0 in their previous four meetings against the Creighton Bluejays with their most recent victory coming in 2011 when NU downed Creighton, 6-1.
History with the Bucs
The Husker last faced off against the East Tennessee State Buccaneers on March 15, 2008. The Buccaneers got the better of the Huskers, 4-1.
Last Weekend in Norman
The No. 20 Oklahoma Sooners defeated the No. 40 Nebraska Cornhuskers, 6-1, last weekend in Norman, Okla. Nebraska's only point came in singles play when NU's No. 78 Benedikt Lindheim downed OU's No. 39 Tsvetan Mihov, 6-2, 7-6(4).
Lindheim on Impressive Roll
Nebraska senior co-captain Benedikt Lindheim is on quite a roll and has begun the 2012 spring season 3-0. In his last 10 matches dating back to the 2011 season, Lindeheim is 8-2 with his last loss coming on April, 22 against Oklahoma's Laurentiu Gavrila.
Huskers Jump Two Spots
In the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association Rankings released on Feb. 7, the Huskers jumped two spots up to No. 38.

Scouting the Denver Pioneers
The Pioneers are 1-4 on the season with their lone win coming against Tulane in their first match of the season. All four losses have been to ranked teams. The duo of Enej Bonin and Jens Vorkefeld are ranked No. 39 in doubles play. They are 2-0 this season while playing both matches at the No. 1 spot. DU is coached by Danny Westerman, who is in his sixth season.
Scouting the Creighton Bluejays
The Creighton Bluejays are 1-0 on the season with their win coming against Chicago State. The Bluejays will play two matches against UMKC and South Dakota State before the travel to take on the Huskers. Junior Billy Paluch is set to play at No. 1 singles for Creighton and is 1-0 on the year. The Bluejays are coached by Tom Lilly, who is in his 14th season.
Scouting the East Tennessee State Buccaneers
The Buccaneers are 0-4 on the year and are ranked No. 74 in the country. ETSU will play two matches against No. 73 Drake and Denver before they play the Huskers. Most likely playing at the No. 1 spot in the Bucs singles lineup will be Sander Gille, who's 0-3 on the year. The Buccaneers are coached by Yaser Zaatini, who's in his second season.
