Four former Nebraska football players will hope to help their teams take the next step to Super Bowl XLVII this weekend when they play in the NFL Divisional Playoffs.

The Nebraska players who will be part of the playoff action this weekend include Baltimore punter Sam Koch, New England cornerback Alfonzo Dennard, and linebacker Barrett Ruud and defensive lineman Jared Crick, both of the Houston Texans.

Koch and the Ravens will travel to Denver to take on the Broncos in the weekend's first game on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. (CT). Koch is in his seventh season in Baltimore and is averaging a career-best 47.1 yards on his 83 punts this season. This marks the fifth straight season in the playoffs for Koch and the Ravens.

Rookie cornerback Alfonzo Dennard will try to help his team advance to the AFC title game when the Patriots taken on Houston on Sunday at 3:30 p.m. Dennard has started seven games at cornerback this season and has 35 tackles, three interceptions and 10 pass breakups.

A pair of former Blackshirts will be on the opposite sideline in the Patriots-Texans game. Linebacker Barrett Ruud has played in 10 games with two starts this season, including last week's Wild Card win over Cincinnati. Ruud has a total of 17 tackles this season for the Texans.

Crick played in 15 regular-season games for the Texans in his rookie season. He has made 22 tackles on the season, while adding a pair of pass breakups at the line of scrimmage.
