Huskers Welcome Bulldogs and Rams To Lincoln
The Huskers are set to host Drake on Friday, Feb. 28 at 5 p.m. and Colorado State on Sunday, March 2 at 11 a.m. in Lincoln, Neb. at the Nebraska Tennis Center. Nebraska sits at 5-3 overall after a two win weekend last week with a 5-2 victory over Air Force and a 4-1 win against Northern Iowa. Nebraska and Drake have met 31 times in history with Nebraska leading the series 18-13. NU has faced Colorado State a total of 16 times, with Nebraska sweeping the series 16-0.
Huskers In The ITA National Rankings
Nebraska dropped out of the ITA Top 75 when the new rankings were released on Tuesday, Feb. 25.
There are six Big Ten teams in the ITA Top 75 and these teams are No. 7 Northwestern, No. 13 Michigan, No. 27 Illinois, No. 39 Purdue, No. 52 Ohio State and No. 53 Indiana. Michigan and Northwestern are the only two Big Ten teams inside the top 25.
Sophomore Maggy Lehmicke, who is 25-14 overall on 14-5 singles and 11-9 doubles dropped from the ITA Top 125 Singles national rankings.
Scouting the Drake Bulldogs

The Bulldogs aren’t nationally ranked with no ranked singles or doubles players in the ITA rankings. Drake went 13-10 in 2013 and 5-2 in the Missouri Valley Conference. The Cornhuskers and Bulldogs have met 31 times throughout history, with Nebraska leading the series 18-13. The last match between the two teams was on Saturday, Feb. 13, 2010 when the No. 51-ranked Huskers defeated the Bulldogs 7-0 in Lincoln, Neb.

The Rams aren’t nationally ranked with no ranked singles or doubles players in the ITA rankings. CSU went 5-16 in 2013 with a 1-9 mark in the Mountain West Conference, falling 4-0 in the second round of the conference tournament. Nebraska and Colorado State have met 16 times throughout history, with Nebraska sweeping the series 16-0. The last match between the two was on Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013 which resulted in a 7-0 Cornhusker victory.
Following this weekend, Nebraska are set to host Wyoming on Friday, March 7 at 4 p.m. and Miami (Ohio) on Sunday, March 9 at 11 a.m. The Cornhuskers have 11 more home matches this season including this weekend’s duals.
