Herman Gesch joined the Nebraska Athletic Department facilities staff as a guest relations/security attendant in the fall of 2011, following his retirement from 35 years of service as a U.S. Postal carrier in Lincoln.
In his current role, Gesch serves as one of the first in-person contacts for daily visitors to the athletic department, while also providing a safe environment for Nebraska's student-athletes and staff members.
Gesch had previously served on the Husker event staff since 2004, representing Nebraska Athletics at various events by providing information and assistance to fans.
Gesch and his wife, Cyndee, have one son, Jeremiah.
