Lincoln - The Nebraska wrestling team announced two Big Ten dual time changes for the 2013-14 season on Wednesday.
Nebraska’s Feb. 1 matchup with Illinois is slated for 4 p.m., after an original time of 7 p.m. The Huskers and Fighting Illini will wrestle at Huff Hall in Champaign, Ill. Last season NU knotted the all-time series at 3-3 after a thrilling 18-15 win at NU Coliseum.
The Huskers’ Jan. 24 dual at Ohio State has been moved to 7 p.m., from its originally scheduled time of 6 p.m. The Huskers and Buckeyes face off at St. John Arena in Columbus, Ohio after not wrestling against each other in 2012-13. The two schools met twice in 2011-12 and split the season series in a pair of close battles. NU defeated Ohio State, 18-16, on Jan. 6 at the NU Coliseum before falling, 21-18, at the NWCA/Cliff Keen National Duals in Stillwater, Okla., on Feb. 12.
The Huskers start their season on Nov. 3 at the Warren Williamson/Daktronics Open in Brookings, S.D. On Nov. 8, the annual Wrestle-Offs will take place at the Devaney Center at 6 p.m. The event was originally scheduled for 7 p.m., but was moved in conjunction with the Coaches Clinic on the same date. The Huskers’ first dual at the Devaney Center is Nov. 17 at 1 p.m. against Northwestern.
