Ingram Finishes Fifth in Menís Hammer Throw

Fayetteville, Ark.- The Husker throwers kicked off competition at the Razorback Spring Invitational at the University of Arkansas on Friday evening as the men’s and women’s hammer throw got underway.

Cole Ingram finished fifth for the men, posting a personal-best throw of 184-7 (56.26). His mark ranks ninth in the Big Ten entering this weekend. Jacob Griess came in ninth, recording a mark of 168-10 (51.47).

On the women’s side, Mary Morales finished 12th with a throw of 162-10 (49.63), while Tristen Sharp followed her with a 13th-place finish and a throw of 162-9 (49.61). Carlie Pinkelman posted a throw of 158-00 (48.15) to come in 16th.

The Huskers continue competition at the Razorback Spring Invitational tomorrow as the field events are slated to begin at 9 a.m. with the women’s discus and the running events set to begin at 1:30 p.m. with the women’s 3,000 meters steeplechase. Live results are available on FlashResults.com.
