2014 (Freshman)
Jake Pinion participated in five meets for the Scarlet and Cream throughout the 2014 indoor season… recorded a personal-best mark of 49-9 ¼ (15.17) in the shot put at the Holiday Inn Invitational… earned a personal-best mark of 55-9 (16.99) in a weight throw victory at the Nebraska Tune-Up. In Outdoor competition, Pinion recorded his personal best in hammer at the Pre-Drake meet by throwing a distance of 169-4 (51.62) to give him a 3rd place finish... Pinion also finished 3rd place in shot put at the Nebraska Invite with a distance of 50-0 3/4 (15.26).

2013 (Redshirt)
Pinion redshirted the 2013 indoor seasons... posted a personal-best throw of 49-5 1/2 (15.07) in the shot put competing unattached at the Nebraska Tune-Up... also notched a personal-best throw of 48-0 (14.63) in the weight throw at the NWU Invite.

Before Nebraska (Blair)
Pinion joined the Huskers from Blair High School in Blair, Neb... has recorded personal bests of 56-9 1/2 in the shot put and 167-10 in the discus... completed his senior season with a third-place finish in the discus (162-8) and an 11th-place finish in the shot put (49-10 1/4) at the 2012 Nebraska Class B State High School Track and Field Championships... won the discus at the B-1 District meet with a throw of 162-10... posted a first-place finish in the shot put at the Mike Lehl Invitational with his personal-best throw of 56-9 1/2... recorded five first-place finishes in the discus during his senior year... recorded a seventh-place finish in the shot put at the 2010 Class B State meet with a throw of 49-3 1/4.
