Lincoln- A total of 55 Husker student-athletes received their diplomas at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s commencement exercises at Pinnacle Bank Arena on Saturday morning.

Head Coach Bill Straub’s program was represented by senior Yan Ling, who was a key contributor the past two seasons in Yan Ling. A Singapore native, Ling graduated Saturday with a degree in management.

Ling helped Nebraska in its run to the 2013 NCAA Campionship, rolling nine strikes while leaving no empty frames in a truly clutch performance in the NCAA Championship match victory over Vanderbilt. During her time as a Husker, Ling also earned Academic All-Big Ten in 2013 and was a member of the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll (Fall 2012, 2013).

NU’s May 2014 graduates came from near and far to call Nebraska home during their careers. The group came to Lincoln from 13 states, including 22 native Nebraskans. Members of the graduating class also came from five foreign countries, including Canada, Germany, Hungary, Latvia and Singapore.

Nebraska continues to feature one of the highest graduation rates in the country, while leading the nation in the number of CoSIDA Academic All-Americans (310) and NCAA Top 10 Award winners (17) across all sports.
