Huskers Head to Track Kat Klash
Lincoln, Neb. - The Nebraska
bowling team will continue their 2012-13 season over the weekend as the team
travels to Huntsville, Texas, to compete in
the Track Kat Klash hosted by Sam Houston State University. Competition
begins Friday and ends Sunday morning.
Head Coach Bill
Straub believes the team is excited to get back to competition after having a
two-week break. The Huskers placed third in their season-opening tournament
early in the month.
"After two
lengthy hard weeks of continuing fundamental development, the team can't wait
to get to the event so they can compete in a match where the opponent is
someone other than their teammates.” Straub said, “They have been scrimmaging
many times since their return from Valparaiso.
Hopefully all of their hard work will pay off with a solid performance.”
With 16 of the top
teams competing at the tournament, Straub believes the Huskers will compete
against great competition over the weekend.
"The field of
the Track Kat Clash includes most of the best teams in the country,” Straub
said, “This should prove to be a very good tournament."
