On how the team has responded since the Ohio State game
"I think we have responded very well, it hasn't seemed like we lost to them. We have been coming in and doing a really good job."
On if he is concerned about the turnover margin
"Yeah I think everyone on the whole team is, especially Coach (Tim) Beck and Coach Bo (Pelini). I think if we don't turn over the ball we should be undefeated."
On his three interceptions at Ohio State
"The first one the DB made a good play and jumped the ball. The second one Kenny Bell got pass interference that didn't get called, he shoved the kid and it should have been called. The third one I was just trying to make a play, we were down 18 points at that point so I was just trying to make a play."
On if he tries too hard to make a play
"Well of course, if you are down 18 points you are going to try and make some plays to bring the team back. You have to take some chances to make a comeback. You can't be conservative."
On what the team thought when Coach Pelini told the team they needed to win out the rest of the season
"I think we agree with him. Well we have to. I think we have the chance to."
On fumbles, and why he thinks it is happening
"Well it is kind of hard if you are getting hit in the back without seeing someone."
On his expectations from Northwestern on Saturday
"They are a good defense, and they are really well-coached, and they will play their hearts out."
On taking a few hard hits at Ohio State
"I was a little sore, but I am better."
On what offensive players stepped up as vocal leaders this last week during the bye
"Just pretty much everyone on the offense. We know how good of an offense we are, I don't think anyone can stop us. The only times we get stopped is if we stop ourselves with turnovers.
On if Martinez thinks he needs to stop having as many explosive plays to reduce turnovers
"No not really."
On sophomore wide receiver Kenny Bell
"He is having a really good year, along with all of the other receivers."
On if Martinez can do anything else on third-and-long situations
"Not be 3rd-and-15."
