Huskers Invite Fans to Attend Red-White Series

Lincoln - The Nebraska baseball is set to conclude fall practice by opening its annual Red-White Series on Tuesday, Oct. 15, at 3:20 p.m. The series continues on Wednesday, Oct. 16 at 3 p.m. and concludes on Thursday, Oct. 17, at 6:30 p.m. Admission is free all three days and concession stands will be open with a limited selection.

$1 Concessions, Chance to Win Free Runza®
On Thursday night, concession stands will have $1 hotdogs and Pepsi products. Also on Thursday, fans have the chance to earn a free Runza® food. Each fan will choose a voucher; either red or white depending on their prediction of which team will win Thursday night's game. Fans holding a voucher matching the winning team’s color will win a free Runza® Sandwich or ¼ lb Hamburger with purchase of a Medium Fry and Medium Pepsi. Fans with a voucher of the losing team’s color will receive a certificate for $1 off a Runza® Combo Meal. Fans will have until Oct. 31 to redeem their voucher at Runza®.

Get Season Tickets for 2014
On Thursday, Nebraska Athletics we will be giving fans the opportunity to purchase new season tickets for the upcoming season. Season tickets start as low as $243. 

For current season ticket holders, you will also have the opportunity to purchase additional season tickets on Thursday night. Please be assured that your current season tickets will not be sold and you will have the opportunity to renew your seats mid to late November!

How the Huskers have performed in scrimmages this Fall…
-  Pat Kelly led the Huskers in RBIs with 15 and doubles with 4. Blake Headley was close behind with 13 RBIs and 3 doubles

-  Austin Darby totaled a team-high 19 hits, including 2 doubles and 2 triples, while hitting .543
-  Jake Placzek posted an on-base percentage of .667
-  Quinn McGill led the team with 7 walks
-  As a team the Huskers hit .319 with an on-base percentage of .397
-  Out of 23 Huskers, 15 produced at least 1 double during the Fall
-  Michael Pritchard led the team with 5 stolen bases, while Austin Darby, Steven Reveles and Ty Kildow each stole 4 bags.
-  The Huskers posted a team fielding percentage of .963. Team had 30 errors in 800 chances.
-  Zach Hirsch led all pitchers with 13 strikeouts in 13 innings of work with a 1.14 ERA
-  Colton Howell threw a team-high 14 innings, posting an ERA of 2.46
-  Tyler King picked up a team-high 3 wins, while posting a 1.14 ERA over 11 innings of work
-  Luke Bublitz notched a 1.59 ERA over 12 2/3 innings of work
-  Josh Roeder earned 2 saves in the Fall, while four other pitchers also picked up a save
