Lincoln- The Nebraska football team
continued its spring practice work Saturday morning, as the Huskers practiced
in the Hawks Championship Center and the outside practice field for just over
two hours in full pads.
Head Coach Bo Pelini addressed the media
following the workout, noting that he didn’t particularly like the team’s
mental state during Saturday’s practice.
“What I watched was a mentally weak
football team, a bad football team, especially on the defensive side of the
ball.” Pelini said, “I call what it is, got a long-long-long-long way to go.”
Saturday’s practice concluded the first
full week of practice for the 2013 spring football season, and was the Huskers’
fifth of 15 practices this spring. Pelini said the Huskers did do some
scrimmage work during Saturday’s practice.
NU will be back on the practice field
Monday, as the Huskers will practice three times next week before taking a week
off due to spring break. Check back here at Huskers.com for updates throughout
the week.
