Lincoln - The Nebraska softball team wraps up its fall exhibition season by hosting the Husker Fall Classic on Saturday and Sunday at the Doris Bair Softball Complex, located on 48th St., just north of Superior.
Joining the Huskers in the three-team field are the Colorado State Rams and the UNO Mavericks. The teams will play round-robin play on both Saturday and Sunday, totaling three games each day. Attendance is free for all games, with action starting at 10 a.m. on both Saturday and Sunday.
Colorado State and UNO open the tournament at 10 a.m. on Saturday, followed by Nebraska and UNO at 12:30 p.m. The Huskers and Rams face off at 3 p.m. to conclude first-day action. On Sunday, Nebraska and Colorado State meet at 10 a.m., before UNO and CSU meet at 12:30 p.m. An in-state showdown between the Huskers and Mavs wraps up the tournament at 3 p.m.
Nebraska is 3-1 this fall, sweeping a doubleheader from South Dakota at Doris Bair and splitting a doubleheader at Creighton.
