Lincoln, Neb. – Nebraska senior Trevor Vidlak earned his second weekly honor in two days Tuesday, as the Lincoln native earned Big Ten Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week.
Vidlak was honored by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on Monday as he was selected as the Division I Men’s National Cross Country Athlete of the Week.
In his first meet back competing for Nebraska since 2011, Vidlak finished first at the Augustana (S.D.) Twilight Invitational last Friday. He posted a time of 18:18.03 over the four-mile course for an average pace of 4:34 per mile. The co-captain from Lincoln, Neb., finished six seconds ahead of the next-fastest finisher and led the Husker men to the team title with 31 points.
