French Lick, Ind. - Five of Nebraska's six golfers made upward moves on the individual leaderboard in the second round of the Big Ten Tournament at the Donald Ross Course on Saturday.

Juniors Steffi Neisen and Katelyn Wright and true freshman Hannah Luebke each carded rounds of 78 on the 6,099-yard, par-72 layout at the Ross Course. Redshirt freshman Jackie O'Doherty rounded out the Huskers' second-round scoring in the six-count-four format to help Nebraska close the day at 313. The Huskers enter Sunday's final round in 12th place with a two-round total of 634.

Neisen (New Prague, Minn.) and Luebke (Stuttgart, Germany) both made 18-spot leaps in the individual standings to head into the final round in a tie for 43rd in the 72-player field. Luebke's 78 was the best collegiate round of her young career. O'Doherty (Lincoln, Neb.) made an eight-spot move of her own, matching Neisen, Luebke and Husker freshman Cassie Deeg (Hugo, Minn.) in a four-way tie for 43rd place at 159.

Wright vaulted 14 spots up the board into a tie for 50th with a 36-hole score of 160. Redshirt freshman Cassidy Stelzmiller moved up six spots to 61st with a second-round 80 to head into the final round at 163.

Northwestern continued to lead the 12-team tournament, posting a 295 on Saturday to head into Sunday's final round at 582. The Wildcats own a five-shot edge over second-place Purdue, who managed to shave one stroke off Northwestern's lead by shooting Saturday's best round with a 294. The Boilermakers head to Sunday with a two-round total of 587.

Defending Big Ten Tournament champion Michigan State sits in third with a two-round score of 600, 18 strokes behind Northwestern.

Purdue's Paula Reto took over the top spot on the individual leaderboard with a second-round 71 to head to Sunday at 142. Northwestern's Kaitlin Park sits just one shot back at 143 after an even-par 72 on Saturday. The Wildcats' Hana Lee, who fired a 68 to lead the field after one round, struggled with an 80 to fall into a three-way tie for seventh at 148.
