Nebraska To Play in ITA Central Region Invite

The Nebraska men's tennis team heads to Tulsa, Okla. to participate in the ITA/USTA Central Region Men's Tennis Tournament hosted by the University of Tulsa from Thursday, Oct. 17 through Monday, Oct. 21 at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center. The Huskers will suit up all but one of their players with Chris Schindler sitting this weekend out due to a minor injury. 

The qualifying singles start on Thursday and finish on Friday morning. There are eight open spots for a qualifying player to make the main draw. The main draw of the singles and doubles start Friday and finish Monday. The winner of both singles and doubles will get an automatic bid to the National Indoor Collegiate Tournament from Nov. 7-10.

The Central Region Invite hosts all the teams from the ITA Central Region including, but not limited to, Oklahoma, Missouri, Oklahoma State, South Dakota, Wichita State, Tulsa and a lot more. The qualifying draw will be released Tuesday.  The main draw will be done after the qualifying round on Thursday.  It will be posted on
