Nebraska's Steffi Neisen qualified for the 2013 U.S. Women's Amateur Public Links Championship on Wednesday, May 29.

Neisen, a senior-to-be for the Huskers in 2013-14, shot a five-over-par 77 in sectional qualifying at Willow Lakes Golf Course in Bellevue, Neb. Neisen's score topped the field by five strokes. She will compete at the national championship at the Jimmie Austin OU Golf Club in Norman, Okla., June 17-22.

In 2012, Neisen finished second in stroke play at the U.S. Publinks Championship with a two-round total of 138 (70-68). Her performance in stroke play in Neshanic Station, N.J., allowed her to qualify for the U.S. Publinks Match Play Championship.

The 2013 event will mark the third consecutive summer that Neisen has qualified for the U.S. Publinks Championship.
