Huskers Begin Competition at Gopher Invitational

By NU Athletic Communications

Minneapolis, Minn.- The Huskers kick off the Gohper Invitational on Friday, facing Depaul in both singles and doubles play at the Baseline Tennis Center.

The tournament includes DePaul, Dartmouth, Denver, Drake, and Nebraska. All will compete in the four day tournament.

For the singles competition, there will be 8 groups (A, B, C…).  Each group will have 1 player from each team, totaling 5 players for each group.  Each player will play 4 other players within their group.  No one will play someone on their own team, and there will be no repeat matches vs. the same player.  DePaul is the only team that will not have 8 players, so Group H will only have 5 players.

For doubles competition, there will be 4 groups (A, B, C, & D).  Each group will have 1 doubles team from each team, totaling 5 teams for each group.  Each doubles team will play 4 of the other teams within their group.

All results will be posted to following play, and live streaming coverage can be found on the schedule page.
