Five Huskers Named First-Team All-Americans
The record-breaking 4x400 relay team of Ricco Hall, Levi Gipson, Christian Sanderfer and Cody Rush led the group of first-team honorees. Patrick Raedler also earned first-team accolades for his fifth-place finish in the men's long jump.
Janis Leitis earned second-team honors in the men's triple and long jumps, while James White was also named a second-team All-American in the men's high jump and Oladapo Akinmoladun earned the honors in the men's 60-meter hurdles. Mara Griva was also named a second-team All-American in the women's long and triple jumps.
First-team honors were given to those who placed in the championships' top eight in an event or were a member of an eight-person final. Second team honors were earned by those who finished between ninth and 16th place. In addition, 11 men and nine women earned honorable mention honors.
