Huskers in the NFL - Week 14

A total of 23 former Huskers saw action during Week 14 of the NFL season. A pair of former Huskers were picked up by NFL teams prior to last weekend's games and played for their new teams, including Josh Brown (Cincinnati) and Keith Williams (Buffalo).

After not playing a down during the 2012 NFL season, Brown was signed by the Cincinnati Bengals following an injury to Mike Nugent. The former NU kicker made the most of his opportunity, as he buried a career-high four field goals, with kicks from 25, 25, 33 and 52 yards. It was not enough though, as the Bengals lost at home to the Dallas Cowboys, 20-19.

Linebacker Lavonte David continued a stellar rookie campaign with nine total tackles, including seven solo stops. David ranks fifth in the league with 117 tackles and ranks second among rookies. Carolina rookie Luke Kuechly leads the league with 130 stops.

Alfonzo Dennard helped limit the Texans' prolific offense to just 14 points, as the New England Patriots posted a 42-14 win on Monday Night Football. Dennard record four tackles and a pass break-up on the night.
