Lincoln - Nebraska Coach Bo Pelini and the Huskers met with members of the media Monday at Memorial Stadium to discuss Saturday's trip to Penn State.
Kickoff between the Huskers (7-3, 4-2 Big Ten) and the Nittany Lions (6-4, 3-3 Big Ten) is set for 2:30 p.m., with live national television coverage on the Big Ten Network.
Nebraska is looking to bounce back following a 41-28 home loss to Michigan State, while the Nittany Lions are coming off a 45-21 win at home over Purdue.
Nebraska has won the first two meetings between the schools as members of the Big Ten Conference and three straight overall in the series. The three-game win streak has given the Huskers an 8-7 edge in the overall series between the schools. Penn State holds a 5-2 series lead in State College.
Nebraska and Penn State have met each of the first three seasons the Huskers have been in the Big Ten. While the schools are in opposite divisions, they have been protected cross-over opponents. With the Big Ten realigning its divisions for next season, it will no longer have protected cross-over games. The next time the schools are scheduled to meet is in 2017 at Penn State. In fact, the 2017 meeting is the only matchup scheduled between the schools between 2014 and 2019.
